I had promised myself some time ago that I'd remake one or two old pics, and that I'd get some new fanart done before my trip, more specifically about Sonic and the Black Knight.
In order to kill two birds with a stone, I decided to remake 'Fury' ( [link] ) by recreating the battle between Sonic and King Arthur in a futuristic hi-tech enviroment. This is the result! I tried to blend 2d cel-shading with smooth shadow and light areas to give it a better look, plus the classic background mixing pen and photography together. Oh, the new songs from this game are great, specially the one that plays when you fight King Arthur in Farway Avalon, which greatly boosted my will to finish this pic. One last thing: I know I've been doing too much Sonic fanart.  Very good piece of art. I love the background and the glowing effects and the futuristic setting. I like the outfit you gave Sonic, his expression is awesome, and the glowing weapon is pretty cool.
It might be my computer but Sonic seems a bit too purple to me. I understand the color choice because of the background, but it looks a bit too purple. When I first saw it, I didn't realize it was Sonic for a moment. Otherwise, great piece!  -- I believe in Jesus Christ my Savior.  No, it's not your computer, sonic looks kinda purple indeed, but that's because of the whole setting of the picture, with red tones over everything. Procuro valorizar meu estilo em todos os trabalhos, vc pode ver que eu foco bem em colorização, que é na verdade o que me interessa mais nessa área.-- Beat the system while you can. Level 2 is always harder.  ohh sweet bro, cool that you were revisiting an old pic to redo. Nice movement with sonic and the sword, (think if you just gave his leg a bend at the knee, it would show some more power in his jump).
