Description
It took me 2 whole weeks to finish this pic. After drawing a good sketch (see my scraps page), I decided to use Illustrator to refine the lineart. Using vectors, and "mirroring" them, I was able to create a clean, proportional and simetric look. After that, I imported everything into Adobe Photoshop, where I colored everything, and added many many reflections and shines (all hand-made!). After that, I got a high-resolution composite of the pic, great for making prints! Scaled it down a bit to upload a lighter version to deviantART, that is, for sure, my most detailed, cool-looking deviation ever.
Metal Sonic, loved by everybody in the Sonic community, is by far one of the greatest character of the series. Sonic 2, 3, S&K, Sonic CD, Heroes... he always comes up with a different look, a different design. This one is basically inspired in the Sonic CD version, but a little bit stronger, specially in the arms and legs.
I hope you all like it. I'd like to say "thank you" to =Project-Zero for his idea, =th351 for her support during the whole making of this pic, and of course to all my favourite artists out there, my devwatchers, Sonic Team themselves and whoever appreciates my art.

That's truly amazing!
My first guess it was done in 3D.
Good Job!
